Overview

Wedorable respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy outlines how we handle copyright infringement claims in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable EU copyright law.

User-Uploaded Content

Wedorable allows users to upload content including:

  • Wedding photos (uploaded by organizers and guests)
  • Text content for wedding pages
  • Wedding invitation designs and text

Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to upload and share the content they submit to the Platform. By uploading content, you represent that you are the copyright owner or have authorization from the copyright owner.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on Wedorable infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice containing:

  1. Your contact information: Full name, email address, and phone number
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed
  3. Identification of the infringing material on our Platform, including the URL or other specific location
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Our Response

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  1. Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  2. Notify the user who uploaded the content about the takedown
  3. Provide the user with an opportunity to submit a counter-notification

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your contact information: Full name, email address, and physical address
  2. Identification of the removed content and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant federal court (or, for users outside the US, any judicial district in which we may be found)
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Restoration of Content

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification:

  • We will forward the counter-notification to the original complainant
  • If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we will restore the removed content

Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. Specifically:

  • First offense: Content removal and warning
  • Second offense: Content removal, warning, and temporary account suspension
  • Third offense: Permanent account termination

EU Copyright Considerations

For users in the European Union, this policy also considers the EU Copyright Directive (2019/790). We process takedown requests from EU rights holders under applicable national implementations of this directive.

Good Faith

Misrepresentation of copyright claims may result in liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) or equivalent provisions under applicable law. Please ensure that your claim is made in good faith.
